B-Line uses a privacy-first, privacy by design approach to data collection and storage. End-to-end encryption and anonymization of data ensure all user privacy is protected and complies with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA and PIPEDA privacy standards.
B-Line Technologies Inc. (“B-Line”) provides the B-Line online platform and mobile applications (together, the “Service”), through which B-Line offers its transportation analysis services, contact tracing services and/or emergency alert. B-Line has created this privacy statement ("Statement") in order to set out how we collect, use, and disclose the personal information regarding visitors to our website located at bline.io (the “Website”), users of the B-Line mobile application (“App”) and other users of the Service.
1. WHAT DOES THIS STATEMENT COVER?
This Statement covers our collection, use and disclosure of information about identifiable individuals (“Personal Information") who access the Website, App or Services (together, “Users”, “you” or “your”). We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for the Service.
2. COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND OTHER DATA
2.1. B-Line Account Information
Collection
In order to use our Service, you may need to register for an account and provide basic account registration information. B-Line also collects your cell phone number and, when you install the B-Line app, your location information within your building. If you want, you can opt-in to have your location tracked at all times. This could be useful for you to provide contact tracing information. This information is collected directly from you.

B-Line stores its data, including Personal Information, on servers located in Canada (if you access the Service in Canada) and the United States (if you access the Service in the US). By submitting information, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing of your Personal Information in Canada and the U.S. You acknowledge and agree that your Personal Information may be accessible to law enforcement and governmental agencies in those countries under lawful access regimes or court order.
4. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
4.1. Service Providers and Business Partners
We may from time to time employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share Personal Information with them to provide the Services to you. Unless we tell you differently, such third parties do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. This includes third party companies and individuals employed by us to facilitate our Services, including the provision of maintenance services, database management, Web analytics and general improvement of the Services, and businesses who engage our Services (to the extent provided for above). Further, we may disclose Personal Information when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required by and in accordance with the law, or otherwise reasonably necessary (as determined at our sole discretion) to prevent or limit the risk of harm being caused to another person. We also reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any Account Information, Privacy Value Information and Diagnostic Information as we reasonably believe is necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; enforce our contracts or user agreement, including investigation of potential violations hereof; and detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues. Notwithstanding the general terms of this policy, the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information may be made outside of the terms herein to the extent provided for in any applicable privacy or other legislation in effect from time to time, or pursuant to court orders.
5. RETENTION
B-Line keeps your cell phone number tied to your location information for 28 days. After 28 days your location information is severed from your cell phone number and can not be traced to you.
Any chats you have through the B-Line app is kept for 1 year.
Any surveys you answer are anonymized and are deleted from B-Line after 28 days.
After 6 years before we securely destroy your anonymized location information.
In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your information: see section 7 below for further information. All retained Personal Information will remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Statement.
6. ACCESS, CORRECTION AND ACCURACY
You have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you in order to verify the Personal Information we have collected in respect to you and to have a general account of our uses of that information. Upon receipt of your written request, we will provide you with a copy of your Personal Information, although in certain limited circumstances, and as permitted under law, we may not be able to make all relevant information available to you, such as where that information also pertains to another user. In such circumstances, we will provide reasons for the denial to you upon request. We will endeavour to deal with all requests for access and modifications in a timely manner.
We will make every reasonable effort to keep your Personal Information accurate and up to date, and we will provide you with mechanisms to update, correct, delete or add to your Personal Information as appropriate. As appropriate, this amended Personal Information will be transmitted to those parties to which we are permitted to disclose your information. Having accurate Personal Information about you enables us to give you the best possible service.
7. RESIDENTS OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (“EEA”)
In addition to the rights set out in this Statement, if you are a resident of the EEA then you may have additional rights regarding your Personal Information.
B-Line generally processes Personal Information in order to fulfill a contract we have with You (that is, by providing you with our services) and to pursue our legitimate business interests. Otherwise, B-Line will obtain consent from an individual in respect of the processing of Personal Information if required by law to do so.

You are bound by any changes to the Statement when you use the Website after such changes have been first posted.
